Walking is normally done in a slow pace so you won’t be putting stress on your joints too much, unlike running. My brother is very lean (but he eats a lot of junk food) and I ask him how he does it. He tells me he doesn’t know, but he did tell me that he does a lot of walking every day. It made perfect sense when he mentioned that. Walking is a wonderful activity so there’s no reason you shouldn’t do it.

Walk daily because you’ll have a better chance you’ll stick to it, and with the correct diet, you’ll be able to slim down easily. If you walk, you’ll also feel healthier and you won’t be deterred by it since it’s not wearing at all, which will make you feel more driven. As you walk more regularly and notice changes, you’ll want to do more or hike up the intensity level of your walks. If you believe you could do more, go ahead. Try to walk at a faster speed or if you’re feeling very confident, you could begin jogging. From that point, you can advance to more energetic activities.

There should be no excuse for you to not walk a short distance every day. Even if you have a lot of things on your plate, you can take out 10 minutes to walk around the area, or if you have a gym membership, nip in and do 30 minutes on the treadmill at a slow pace to start off with.
